Community Integrated Program, Reedley & Fresno Center... The Community Integrated Program (CIP) was developed to provide individuals with a more integrated and independent life style. The program serves individuals with mild, moderate and severe developmental disabilities, and provides daily transportation for all consumers in the Fresno area, accommodating individuals in wheelchairs as well. CIP encompasses three main components to provide individuals with a variety of daily experiences, and the opportunity for skills training and growth. All components of the program are designed to encourage one's independence and involvement in their community.

Vocational Training...CIP provides vocational training, by taking on paid service contracts in the community, including janitorial work, landscaping, flyer distribution, and bulk mail.

Community Integration...Community Integration is provided through visits to local stores.  Individuals are trained in money management, price comparison shopping and how to make purchases. Individuals are also taught good public safety skills in a variety of everyday community situations.

Social and Recreational Development...Weekly activities to promote social and recreational development are scheduled by CIP Training Supervisors. These activities may include trips to the Fresno Zoo, local museums, Police and Fire Stations, and Community Parks. CIP also encompasses arts and crafts classes, Special Olympics Training and participation in local bowling leagues. Individuals also participate in cooking classes at the program facility.
