Board Meetings
Arc Fresno's
Board of Directors meetings are open to the public and we encourage anyone to
attend. These meetings are held on the last Monday of every other month. We hope to
see you at one of our meetings.
If you would like to become
a part of Arc Fresno's Board of Directors and help enrich the lives of the
individuals with developmental disabilities that we serve, please contact
Lori Ramirez, Arc Fresno's Executive Director, at 226-6268.
Enrichment Center
The Arc Fresno Enrichment Center at 4567 N. Marty Ave. is almost ready for business. This is an exciting time for our staff and our consumers as we prepare to make this important transition (our administration office will move in there later this year). Of course, this move is bittersweet because we are closing Kelso Activity Center. This Fresno landmark paved the way for individuals with developmental disabilities in the greater Fresno community and will leave a void in the hearts of all those whose lives were touched by its presence. However, the new Enrichment Center's innovative design and superior programming will far surpass the high expectations that is the Arc Fresno standard. This, of course, is of great benefit to our consumers ... and the reason we do this.

Special Olympics 2006
The Special Olympics was held on April 21, 2006. It was a beautiful day, a great event and all of the competitors did an excellent job. If you haven't attended a Special Olympics, make a point to go next year. You will be so happy that you did. Go to volunteer or go to cheer, you will see some of the finest athletes competing in the true spirit of the Olympics.
Arc Fresno wants to say thanks to California Overnight and Golden Valley Grape for sponsoring the t-shirts and hats. They were perfect!

Camp SuperStuff
Mark your calendar, campers, Arc Fresno's 8th annual Camp SuperStuff is July 24-28. This integrated day camp is for kids with disabilities ages 7-22 and kids without disabilities ages 6-14. Our five day camp is loaded with activities that young campers love: Wild Water Adventures, Pump it Up, Cold Stone Creamery tour, Fresno Fire Department tour, Sugar Pine Railroad and a trip to Bass Lake. The other days are filled with movies, museums, crafts and bowling. If you have an interested camper, please call 226-6268.
If you have any questions about the
above event, please call the Arc Fresno office at 559.226.6268.
Our friendly
staff is ready to assist you. Also, Arc Fresno is always looking for volunteers
to help out with our many events and activities. If you would like information about volunteering
for Arc Fresno please contact us anytime.
