Life Skills Coach 1 (Compensation: $11.00 per hour)

Job Description:

Responsible for supervision and training of individuals with developmental disabilities. Works closely with Case Manager & Program Manager to assist individuals in the development of their skills to their full potential, and foster their independence in a positive and caring manner.  Completes required documentation. The Life Skills Coach 1 would also be responsible for providing personal care and hygiene needs for the individuals we serve. This includes: attending to restroom needs, feeding, and assistance with ambulation. Prefer individuals with experience using equipment such as a Hoyer Lift, Changing Beds, and Gait Belts. Additional requirements for this role include: High School Diploma / GED. Prefer three to six months of related experience working with developmentally disabled individuals or special populations. Language Skills include the ability to comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write accurate and legible correspondence. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands or arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift an/or move up to 50 pounds.
