Life Skills Coach 11 (Compensation: $14.00 per hour)

Fresno

Position Summary

The Life Skills Coach 11 (LSC11), will provide training for individuals in their residence and/or place of employment to support successful outcomes of pre-vocational training and long range goals for competitive integrated employment. The LSC11 will also provide instructions in the areas of money management, time management, work attire, destination training, personal hygiene, social appropriateness, problem solving, accessing community resources, and 1-on-1 job coaching specific to the individual’s place of employment, assessment sites, and/or internship locations. Additionally, the LSC11 will provide training and instruction specific to the individual’s personal goals based on their Individual Service Plan. Training will be provided using different methodologies: verbal, physical, and hand-over-hand demonstration. Furthermore, the LSC11 will be responsible for writing/implementing attainable goals for the client, maintaining an accurate case file, maintaining required documentation (billing, schedules, mileage, etc.) and participate in meetings as required. Necessity to drive your personal vehicle.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from an accredited college.
  • 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess valid California Driver’s License, reliable transportation, auto insurance, and good driving record.

Truck Driver - Part-time (Compensation: $16.50 per hour)

Fresno

Position Summary

Load and unload materials/pallets in box trucks or flatbed. Drives truck from Program to all customer locations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Delivers and picks up contract materials daily. May require individual to perform services for the Document Destruction department.
  • Weighs material upon arrival at program and record information on process log accurately.
  • Load and unload material from truck in a timely manner.
  • Locks truck and rolls-up door when truck is in transit or unattended.
  • Assures that all containers and back of truck are locked at all time.
  • Responsible for cleaning all containers on a regular basis.
  • Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
  • Assure that the truck has enough fuel to complete the route.
  • Inspects all FPC truck equipment, forklifts, and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
  • Verifies that all fire extinguishers are fully charged on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for checking and verifying that all forklifts are in working order on daily basis.
  • Maintains agency trucks by following vehicle policy guidelines.
  • Attends all meeting as required by agency policy.
  • Will assist in contract or Shred area when needed after all deliveries and pick-ups have been completed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must possess valid California Driver’s License and clean DMV records. Must have clean criminal record.

Life Skills Coach 11 - Production Coordinator (Compensation: $14.00 per hour)

Madera

Position Summary:

Assists the Program Manager by coordinating the day-to-day contract operations of the Madera Production Center; to include safety, shipping and receiving, transportation of goods, quality assurance, workflow monitoring, and shop organization. Performs client activity data entry as needed.

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience:

Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from an accredited college or university along with two year’s related experience and/or training would be desirable. Three years or more of related experience in a manufacturing setting may be substituted. Requires experience with basic computer applications; must be able to handle multiple priorities and duties simultaneously, have good basic organizational skills, and be adept at meeting deadlines. Must possess a reasonable understanding of production methodologies and work flow.

Certificates, Licenses Registrations:

Must have a valid Class C California’s driver’s license, good driving record, and auto insurance. Prefer individual with forklift experience and ability to be trained/certified.

Responsible for supervision and training of individuals with developmental disabilities. Works closely with Case Manager and Program Manager to assist individuals in the development of their skills to their full potential. Provide care, supervision, instruction, and/or job coaching for the individuals we serve. Use the established methodology for achieving client goals and track progress. Development of activities, curriculum, schedules, and vocational procedures with support from Case Manager and Program Manager. Assist the Case Manager in the implementation of the Individual Service Plans and Individual Habilitation Component, and provides documentation as directed by the Program Manager. Assists with personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, and ambulation needs as necessary. Takes direction from supervisors and gives/receives coaching and feedback in the moment in a positive manner. Practices good customer service skills at all times.

Qualifications/Experience Requirements:

Prefer three to six months of related experience working closely with developmentally disabled individuals or special populations. Willingness to work with individuals that have behaviors. Valid driver’s license and good driving record. 

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma, or GED. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
